OEM Sales Director

Position Summary

Covercraft Industries, is hiring a OEM Sales Director. This position is responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives and expanding OEM business opportunities for Covercraft. This role drives revenue growth by developing strong relationships with OEM customers, identifying new market opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver innovative product solutions that align with customer requirements and company objectives.

The OEM Sales Director serves as a key leader in managing high-level customer relationships, overseeing account strategy, and ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnership success. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with experience in manufacturing, automotive, aftermarket, or OEM environments.

Essential Work Functions

• Develop and execute strategic OEM sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new OEM business opportunities within targeted markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and long-term commercial agreements.
• Manage key OEM accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs and escalations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to support customer programs and product launches.
• Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, market analyses, and business reviews to executive leadership.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate RFQs, proposals, and bid submissions to meet customer expectations and timelines.
• Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to overall business growth objectives.
• Travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events as required.

• Strong analytical, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and large customer accounts.
• Effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of automotive, manufacturing, aftermarket, or industrial markets preferred.

Previous Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive sales or business development experience in OEM, automotive, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
• Experience managing strategic OEM accounts and long-term customer partnerships.
• Prior experience negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and customer programs.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in product development, operations, and supply chain environments preferred.
• Leadership or sales management experience is a plus.
