Join South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty, a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving Western North Carolina and surrounding communities. As the Learning and Development Coordinator on our ECC and Specialty team, you’ll work hands-on with advanced cases, modern technology, and a highly supportive team that values mentorship, teamwork, and professional growth.
Compensation: $26-$28/hr based on experience and licensure.
Schedule: 5 days per week base schedule; flexible depending on training staff on varying shifts

Our facility offers services in neurology, internal medicine, surgery, and emergency and critical care. We have a team of board-certified specialists and emergency doctors committed to providing quality care to all patients. Our advanced diagnostic capabilities allow our doctors to diagnose and treat complicated medical conditions. These diagnostics include digital radiography, ultrasonography, MRI, and computed tomography (CT).
Job Summary:
The Learning and Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in creating, executing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of our veterinary support staff. In this role, you will design targeted learning initiatives to ensure that all veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, client service representatives, and kennel attendants receive the training they need to succeed in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for building a culture of continuous learning and development that drives both individual career growth and operational excellence, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and hospital policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a passion for learning and development and a commitment to improving patient care through staff education.
