Hospitality Construction Company seeking an experienced Project Manager with ground up and renovation experience. Must assume a leadership role in managing the entire life of a project, maintaining an aggressive schedule from concept to execution. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years Construction Project Management experience. Some travel required.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Prepares bid documents, compilation of bid tabs, and project buyout in a timely manner of both subcontractors and material purchasing. Plan the entire project life cycle, including identifying critical path items, extended lead times, resource allocation, and development of the project schedule. Work with the Estimating department and Owners with any value engineering necessary. Responsible for providing Superintendents and Project Engineers with clear direction of responsibilities and expectations.
Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory, building codes, or other governmental agencies. Ensure adherence to strict safety standards; ensure Superintendent is properly trained and knowledgeable in all OSHA and safety related areas.
Coordinate, lead, and document all required job meetings including project startup meetings with Owners, Estimating, & Subcontractors. Prepare project reports for Management, Client, or others. Review daily Superintendent reports. Reviews and approves all shop drawings and submittals. Completion of weekly Ownership Project Reports
Maintain, update and review job cost reports to ensure financial success of the project. Monitor, review and approve all vendor invoices and Subcontractor applications for payment. Prepare and approve change orders as required.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
Able to read, analyze, and understand construction plans/documents, contracts, and technical documents. Able to write reports, and effectively present information and respond to questions from Management, Project Ownership, Hotel Operations, and Subcontractors.
Competent in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, MC2 ICE Estimating, OST (On-Screen Takeoffs) and Procore a plus.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws, permitting, review and inspection process.
