About Us:
Skip the unstable tech startup circus and the threat of venture-capital layoffs. We are an established, highly profitable national enterprise located in Louisville, KY, that builds real-world software driving daily business operations. Our proprietary internal asset-management and workforce routing platform keeps our business moving, and we are looking for a practical, self-motivated Full Stack Developer to take ownership of its ongoing maintenance, stability, and optimization.
If you enjoy writing clean code that directly impacts a business's bottom line—without the corporate red tape or unrealistic sprint deadlines—this is the home for you.
Role Overview
As our Full Stack Developer, you will be the primary custodian of our core operational software. You will handle backend logic, optimize cloud infrastructure, and proactively design/tweak user interfaces to make life easier for our daily operational team. You will also work closely with our internal Systems Administrator to support our connected network of field-deployed hardware devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain & Optimize: Oversee the daily stability, security patching, and bug-fixing of our proprietary Python-based web application.
- UI/UX Improvements: Work closely with internal team members to audit user workflows, building cleaner dashboards, charts, and more intuitive interfaces.
- Cloud Management: Monitor and maintain our AWS hosting environment (EC2, RDS) to ensure peak application performance.
- Feature Deployment: Spin up new client instances and configuration modules as we scale and onboard new regional business partners.
- Hardware Integration: Assist our internal Systems Administrator in maintaining and documenting the Linux configuration for our Raspberry Pi-based asset-tracking hardware.
Qualifications & Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience developing with Python.
- Database Savvy: Strong proficiency with SQL and managing relational databases.
- Cloud Familiarity: Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, RDS).
- Frontend Basics: Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to execute user-friendly interface changes.
- Hardware/Linux Curious: Experience with (or a strong willingness to learn) Linux and Raspberry Pi hardware flashing and configurations.
- Mindset: A practical, problem-solving attitude. We value execution, reliability, and clear internal documentation over ivory-tower theory.
