SmartTIX is an innovative, AI-powered ticket management platform designed specifically for the utility damage prevention industry. Built by locators, for locators, SmartTIX streamlines the 811 ticket process for utility locating companies, municipalities, public and private utilities, and one-call centers.
Summary/Objective:
SmartTix is hiring a React Native developer to help build and maintain our mobile app for iOS and Android. This role is focused primarily on the native app experience and will work closely with our existing platform, APIs, authentication, notifications, attachments, and map-based workflows.
We are looking for someone who is strong in React Native and mobile development, and who can build reliable app features that connect cleanly to a backend platform with multiple client environments and deployment targets.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build and maintain the SmartTix mobile app in React Native for iOS and Android
- Develop mobile features tied to operational workflows such as tickets, assignments, updates, attachments, notifications, and map/location-based functionality
- Integrate the app with existing backend APIs, authentication flows, and client-specific environments
- Help support mobile release workflows across development, staging, production, and client deployments
- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to deliver mobile-first functionality within the broader SmartTix platform
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience with React Native
- Experience building and maintaining production mobile apps for iOS and Android
- Strong knowledge of React, JavaScript, and preferably TypeScript
- Experience with mobile navigation, reusable components, state handling, and form-driven workflows
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling real application data states
- Ability to debug mobile issues, build issues, and platform-specific behavior across iOS and Android
- Experience using Expo and mobile build/release tooling such as EAS is a plus
- Experience working with AWS-backed platforms is a plus
- Experience with multi-tenant or multi-client apps is a plus
- Experience with operational, dispatch, field service, ticketing, or workflow-based applications is a plus
- Experience with Mapbox or similar mapping tools is a plus
