ERP Specialist – BuildOps & Sage Intacct
Job Summary
This position will be onsite at our Henrico, VA office. We are seeking a professional with functional and technical knowledge to lead the implementation, administration, and ongoing support of BuildOps and Sage Intacct across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all system-related issues, enhancements, integrations, and process improvements following implementation.
The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, accounting, finance, and leadership teams to ensure both platforms are optimized to support business goals. This role requires staying current on new features, updates, and product releases from both vendors and proactively evaluating how changes may impact workflows, reporting, integrations, and overall company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation, configuration, testing, and rollout of BuildOps and Sage Intacct
- Serve as the primary internal administrator and subject matter expert for both platforms
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for system users across departments
- Coordinate with BuildOps and Sage Intacct support teams to resolve issues and manage escalations
- Maintain user access, permissions, workflows, and system configurations
- Analyze business processes and recommend improvements using system capabilities and automation
- Stay informed about new releases, feature updates, and product enhancements from both vendors
- Evaluate the operational and financial impact of new features, including pros, cons, risks, and implementation considerations
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials
- Train users and support adoption of new processes and features
- Assist with reporting, dashboards, data integrity, and integrations between systems
- Partner with leadership to prioritize system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and standardization
Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP, accounting, or field service management systems
- Experience with BuildOps, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong understanding of operational workflows, accounting processes, and system integrations
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with different departments
- Experience with software implementation and change management preferred
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate business impact and process improvements
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or field service industries
- Experience with workflow automation, reporting tools, and data analysis
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, or middleware platforms
- Project management experience
