Description The Catholic University of America (CUA), established in 1887 by US bishops, has an enrollment of more than 6,700 students from all 50 states and about 100 countries. With graduate and undergraduate programs in 12 colleges, CUA offers degrees in such fields as architecture and planning, arts and sciences, engineering, music, and nursing. The Catholic University of America is the only US university with ecclesiastical faculties granting canonical degrees in canon law, philosophy, and theology. Some 90% of undergraduates and 60% of graduate students are Catholic. The University's Theological College prepares men for the priesthood serving dioceses across the US.
