Williams College is a private, liberal arts school with an enrollment of more than 2,000 students at its main campus in the Berkshires of northwestern Massachusetts. It also offers programs in England (Williams-Exeter Programme at Oxford), Connecticut (Williams-Mystic Program), and Williams in New York. The majority of its students come from New York, followed by Massachusetts and California. Williams College offers more than 30 undergraduate majors in three academic divisions: humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Founded in 1793 by Colonel Ephraim Williams, the school also confers master's degrees in the history of art and in policy economics.
