Description Amaggi Exportação e Importação, a division of Brazilian giant Grupo Andre Maggi, is an agricultural force to be reckoned with. The company is one of the country's leading soybean producing and processing firms, and it imports and commercializes fertilizers. Amaggi operates three processing plants (in the states of Mato Grosso and Amazonas) that crush about 6,600 tons of non-GMO (genetically-modified organisms) soybeans per day. The company has 40 warehouses situated across the country and ships soybeans and oil to Europe, Australia, and Asia. Amaggi further expanded into Europe in 2009 when it purchased a majority interest in Denofa S.A., a Norwegian company that processes 430,000 tons of soybeans per year.
