There are no overdue fines at this popular northwest suburban library. The modern, open 50,000-square-foot building at 300 Olde Half Day Rd. features a self-service café, a digital media lab, study rooms, a quiet reading room with fireplace and dedicated areas for tots, emergent readers and teens. New and popular books and DVDs are featured in retail-style displays to make browsing easy and pleasurable. All are welcome at any of the library’s free classes, workshops and events for all ages, including “the North Shore’s best” early literacy storytimes. The library district directly serves all or parts of Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Prairie View, Riverwoods, Vernon Hills and unincorporated Vernon and Ela townships.
