QuitNet.com operates a Web site dedicated to helping smokers give kick the nicotine habit. The online smoking cessation support community offers expert advice, health information, peer support, and other resources through its Web site. It also offers a free quit smoking support plan. The QuitNet program was developed in 1995 by Nathan Cobb, MD as a project of Boston University School of Public Health. It became a private company in 2000, and was acquired by Healthways in 2006.
