Mission The Baby Fold builds positive futures with children and families while reflecting the Christian principles of love, hope, and healing.
Description The Baby Fold has been serving children and families since 1902. We currently serve over 1,200 individuals every year through five services areas that wrap services around children and families across 28 counties in Central Illinois.

1. Early Childhood Services
--Healthy Start is a voluntary, home visiting program that assists young families before, during, and after pregnancy, including Doula services, to build safe and loving home environments for children and strong family foundations.
--Caregiver Connections is a free program bringing specialists to child care settings across Central Illinois to observe child behaviors, identify those who may benefit from additional resources, and aid caregivers in guiding the children in their care.

2. Academic Services
Hammitt Schools two campuses offers special education and autism programming for students, K-21 whose emotional-behavioral needs exceed what their public schools can provide. Community Schools brings care and resources to children in public schools. We identify needs and bring stakeholders together to help children succeed.

3. Intervention Services
--Intact Family Services is a 6-9 month in-home intervention program that keeps children safe and at-risk families together through education and resources.
--Foster Care provides temporary, loving, safe homes for children until family reunification or a permanent living arrangement can be made.
--Intensive Family Support Services helps youth and families stabilize in their homes.

4. Post-Adoption Services
--Adoption Support and Preservation supports adoptive families with consultation, resources, and professional therapy at no cost to families.
--Respite Care offers children a supportive and inclusive camp environment that helps adopted children connect with others who’ve experienced similar traumas.
--Adoption Record Search and Support offers therapeutic services and conducts searches for individuals connected to adoptions facilitated by The Baby Fold.

5. Assessment Clinic, Training, and Consultation Services
--The Assessment Clinic provides Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for school-aged children, and psychological and neuropsychological diagnostic evaluations for foster children within the Department of Children and Family Services.
--Case Consultation is offered to parents, teachers, and professionals in child welfare.
--Attachment and Trauma Fellowship and Certification is a 3-year supervised education program that enables therapists to earn certification and a credential, empowering them to provide the highest level of trauma-informed care.
--TBRI® Illinois is a statewide collaborative supporting Trust-Based Relational Intervention implementation across various organizations.
