The international oil and gas exploration and production company primarily focuses on India, with strategic positioning in the oil and gas basins on the east coast of India and off of the Saurashtra west coast, near the Bombay High field. It has also acquired development assets in the proven oil province of the Niger Delta of Nigeria. Hardy Oil and Gas (then known as Jehan Energy Ltd.) was founded by Sastry Karra (CEO) and Yogeshwar Sharma (COO) in 1997. The company was renamed Hardy Oil and Gas in 2001 and became a public company in 2005.
