Description Cydsa is one of Mexico's leading textile and chemical conglomerates, with about 20 subsidiaries selling products in more than 30 countries. The company began in 1945 as a maker of rayon and grown into one of Mexico's largest chemicals makers. It now consists of two industry segments: chemical and plastic products, which accounts for the vast majority of its sales, and yarns (including fibers, yarn, and apparel). The chemical segment operates through five subsidiaries that make salts, chlorine and caustic soda, PVC products, and industrial gases. The company is tightly controlled by its founders, including the Sada family; Tomás González Sada is CEO.
