For over 30 years, Emmy Award®-winning studio, Bardel Entertainment Inc., has been the leading animation services provider in North America due to its stellar reputation built on three core values: quality, creativity, and innovation. Led by CEO Rick Mischel, previously a producer at Sony Pictures Animation, Bardel is recognized as one of the most trusted names in the industry.
From inception, Bardel gained a reputation for high-quality 2D animation production. This was the gateway to developing relationships with some of the world’s largest studios such as DreamWorks, Warner Bros, and Cartoon Network/Adult Swim. Fast forward three decades, Bardel’s team continues to receive critical acclaim for its commitment to excellence in 2D and CGI, with storytelling for both kids and adults. In 2020, Bardel won a Primetime Emmy Award for its work on Rick and Morty for Best Animated Series. The same year, Bardel also won a Daytime Emmy Award for the Netflix Original series, The Dragon Prince, for Best Children’s Animated Series.
Currently, Bardel is the only full-service animation studio concurrently providing animation services in CG and 2D animation television and features for a diverse slate of U.S. blue-chip partners: Netflix, Wizards of the Coast, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network-Adult Swim, Nickelodeon, HBO Max, and Disney, as well as an outstanding group of content creators.
Bardel attracts top 2D and 3D animation and technical talent from around the world; and has the capacity for over 600 employees in two state-of-the-art studio locations, one in Vancouver and one in Kelowna Canada. In 2015, Bardel was acquired by Italy-based Rainbow Group, one of the largest animation producers and licensors in the world with subsidiaries in Moscow, Hong Kong, and Singapore. www.bardel.ca.
