The Internet's growing like a weed in Taiwan, thanks in part to Seednet -- the ISP operation of Digital United. A leading Taiwanese ISP, the company provides dial-up and broadband Internet access to residential customers and corporate clients, using both cable modems and ADSL technology. Other services include Web hosting, server colocation, and virtual private networks. Digital United also operates a Chinese-language Web portal. New Century InfoComm Tech Co. (Sparq), a Taiwanese telecommunications company, is a major shareholder of Digital United, with about a 30% ownership stake.
