Description The Crean Group (formerly James Crean) has slimmed down to skin and bones. Once a major diversified business spanning microchips, electrical wholesale, and packaging operations, the company has trimmed itself down to just a sagging US canned poultry products business (Valley Fresh) and a 20% share of Oakhill Group plc. Chairman Ray McLoughlin's took the company private through Irish company Monset Ltd in 2001. In late 2004 the company sold its American frozen meals business (Freezer Queen) for $11 million. The Crean Group eschews contact with the media.
