Description Grupo Empresarial ENCE manages about 110,000 hectares of timberland in Spain and Uruguay. Through its subsidiaries, the company manufactures more than 1.1 million metric tons (or tonnes) of eucalyptus-derived pulp annually for use in a variety of paper products. The company also produces an average of 1.1 million megawatt hours (MWh) of electric power from biomass and natural gas. Its forestry division participates in reforestation and environmental projects and manufactures and markets forest machinery. Europe is ENCE's primary target market. Initially established as Empresa Nacional de Celulosa, the company traces its roots back to 1957.
