Flotek Industries works to keep oil and gas flowing. The company provides the chemicals and logistical services required in the cementing and stimulation of oil and gas wells. (Cementing holds well casings in place; stimulation opens up cracks in the earth to allow for the easier flow of oil.) Flotek also provides drilling equipment used in cementing and stimulation, as well as Petrovalve downhole pump valves (used to pump off the liquids in gas wells, in a process known as artificial lift) and Spidle Turbeco (drilling tools, motors, and casing accessories). The company markets its products throughout the US and is expanding into international markets.
