Description Phosphate Holdings wades through the crooked letters and over the humpbacks to bring the world its fertilizers. The company, which operates through subsidiary Mississippi Phosphates Corporation (MPC), manufactures diammonium phosphate (DAP), the world's most used phosphate fertilizer product. It sells most of its products in the US, though international sales, primarily to Latin America, account for more than a quarter of its total sales. Agrochem distributor Transammonia sells a majority of MPC's products; it is the company's lone exporter and also handles some domestic business. Mississippi Phosphates emerged from the bankrupt Mississippi Chemical in 2004 and has operated as a stand-alone entity since then.
