Description Owensboro Grain is a contented corporate "bean counter." The company produces a slew of edible products and fuels from soybeans for sale to markets worldwide. Its processed soy offerings include protein meal and hull pellets for animal feeds, and vegetable oil and lecithin for recipes for human health. SoyMAX, the company's a soybean animal meal, was developed in partnership with a private consultant and Tyson Foods, Texas A&M, and the University of Illinois. Owensboro Grain also operates an alternative-energy facility, which produces soy-based biodiesel fuel and its byproduct, glycerin, used in pharmaceuticals. Founded in 1906 by Henry E. O'Bryan, the company is owned by the O'Bryan family's fifth generation.
