Mission Common Energy's mission is to accelerate the adoption of clean energy.
Description Headquartered in New York City, Common Energy is one of the country's largest community solar providers. We are passionate about climate action and our mission is to accelerate the adoption of clean energy through community solar projects across the United States.

With community solar there is nothing to install on site. Common Energy's projects avoid cost-prohibitive solar panels on private residences to enable virtually anyone--including renters--to benefit from lower cost clean energy.

We are proud to serve thousands of subscribers across the country, and have partnered with some of the world's most prestigious companies including Microsoft, Bloomberg, Nike and LinkedIn. Common Energy has also received numerous awards for our work with low income subscribers.

In 2022, we pivoted strategy to focus on reaching profitability. This shift resulted in changing company leadership, redefining key processes, and building new functions. As a result, a number of our valued teammates were negatively impacted by those changes.

New leadership has made great strides improving operating performance while investing in people and culture. Friday All-Hands meetings are a highlight of the week with employees presenting peer bonuses and sharing news from across the company. At present, women comprise half of Common Energy's leadership team and approximately 40% of our employees are women. Our diverse workforce represents over 20 countries and speaks 30 languages.
