Rath Manufacturing bought Gibson Tube in 1999 to produce an expanded line of commercial and sanitary tubing; the company took the RathGibson name in 2005. It acquired Greenville Tube in 2006, adding to its product offering and geographic scope. RathGibson operates manufacturing facilities throughout the US, with additional offices mainly in the Middle East and Asia. The company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2010 under new owners, an investment group led by Wayzata Investment Partners.
