Description Union Leader Corporation publishes the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Granite State's largest daily newspaper and its only statewide daily. Formerly known as The Union Leader, the paper is famous for its conservative bent and has cast its influence on national politics during the New Hampshire presidential primary. The company also publishes the weekend edition New Hampshire Sunday News. Newspaperman William Loeb acquired The Union Leader (founded in 1863 as The Manchester Daily Union) in 1946. The company is controlled by publisher Joseph McQuaid.
