Description Founded in 1874, East Bay SPCA is an independent nonprofit committed to people and companion animals in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. East Bay SPCA operates adoption centers, spay & neuter surgery centers, education & training centers in Dublin and Oakland California and a full-service veterinary clinic in Oakland.

East Bay SPCA is a nonprofit organization supported by individual donations, and adoption, program and veterinary fees, and special events. The volunteer board of directors oversees an annual operating budget of more than $8 million.
