Description James Fisher and Sons has done everything in the sea, except fish, since 1847. The company, through four divisions, provides marine and engineering services. Its specialist technical services, driven by companies FenderCare, Strainstall, and others, offer docking and mooring equipment, and load monitoring. A marine oil arm ships petroleum products in Northwestern Europe; and offshore oil, services and equips offshore, subsea, and windfarm operations. Defense work includes submarine rescue and ship support for 14 navies worldwide. Customers include the Royal and Norwegian navies, and oil and gas and nuclear demolition companies. Rowland Fredrick Hart Jackson owns 18%, and Schroder Investment 14% of James Fisher.
