Danodan was founded in 2014 by a Portland native, Daniel Stoops. It has always been Daniel's (and Danodan's) mission to improve the customer's quality of life. In the mid-2000's Daniel started experimenting with the production of cannabis edibles for Oregon's medical market. With business expanding, he placed a Help Wanted ad on Instagram and quickly hired Steve Sands as the company's production manager. In 2016 Danodan's parent company, Yabuwi Inc, filed for a utility patent to protect a new method of making a cannabis-infused, water-soluble tincture. Friends, family and patients who tried the new Danodan product found that it revealed a beautiful representation of the whole plant's medley of flavors while delivering soft, reliable effects.
Timing is everything and the product had the potential to open up new opportunities with new relationships. In June 2017, Brandon Holmes joined the team to help Danodan enter a growing market for tinctures, beverage additives and food ingredients containing hemp-derived CBD and other cannabinoids. Brandon admired the fact that Daniel and Steve were doing the opposite of almost every other cannabis processor he encountered: they were taking their time to make a hand-crafted product that simply tastes better and works better.
Today, the company has a growing eCommerce operation and supplies hundreds of brick-and-mortar businesses nationwide. The brand is in high demand from retail grocery chains, co-ops, bars, restaurants, independent boutiques and food and beverage manufacturers. Danodan is investing in talented people to help manage operations, grow sales and build a compassionate company.
