Here at Vera Institute of Justice we are particularly proud of our employee response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are a caring community, and in addition to our managers and fellow Verans doing regular check-ins with each other through Institute-wide and department meetings, town halls, affinity group meet-ups, and virtual coffees called RCTs, below is a partial list of other responses from the Institute during the pandemic: • Flexible work schedules • Enhanced sick leave • Additional support from our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) including a facilitated support group • $500 towards office-related expenses • Up to $1,000 Employee Disaster Relief Fund • Launched Power Hour--down time where Verans take a break from work - no meetings or emails • Extended Summer Fridays to Fall Fridays • Provided additional days off once per quarter to focus on wellness + $25 stipend...Show more
