Grossmont College, a two-year associate-degree granting college located in east San Diego county, is part of the California Community College System. It offers lower division courses and academic preparation that permits students to transfer to any campus in the California State University and University of California systems, as well as to many private colleges and universities. The college also offers vocational programs. Grossmont has an enrollment of more than 18,000 students and was founded in 1961.
