San Diego City College is a public community college serving some 16,000 students. It offers more than 200 programs leading to two-year degrees and certificates as well as continuing education and university transfer courses. It also offers apprenticeship programs in construction, gas and electric, machinery, and other industries. Areas of study include accounting, business studies, music, and real estate. The school is part of the San Diego Community College District, which also includes San Diego Mesa College and San Diego Miramar College. San Diego City College was founded in 1914.
