Description The National Confectioners Association (NCA) protects the interests of candy, chocolate, and gum makers and lovers alike. The organization was founded in 1884 as a trade association serving the leadership needs of companies that make and process sweets. The association's purpose is to administer and fund cocoa research, promote the benefits of chocolate to the public, and advocate on behalf of members in legislative affairs. Members of the NCA include Nestlé USA, Hershey, Guittard, and Mars' Masterfoods USA division. The NCA is affiliated with the World Cocoa Foundation, and the International Confectionery Association, among other groups.
