Through its North American plants, it produces ammonia, urea, urea ammonium nitrate solution (UAN), and ammonium nitrate (AN). Terra operates plants in the US, Canada, and the UK through subsidiaries, joint ventures, and limited partnerships, including the 75%-owned Terra Nitrogen. The company sells products to dealers, retailers, coops, and chemical companies. Terra is a subsidiary of CF Industries Holdings, which acquired the firm in a bidding war in 2010.
