Our Past
Rose Musso started Georgia Nut Company in 1945 shortly after World War II. Her passion was to sell the highest-quality roasted nuts and snacks to friends and family. As Georgia Nut Company grew, Rose was approached by several customers to provide complimentary offerings including various chocolates and confections. Since then, Georgia Nut Company has grown to become one of the largest privately-held confections and snack manufacturers in North America. Since 1945, over four generations of Rose’s family have actively managed the business. Bringing forth new ideas and driving the entrepreneurial spirit of the company into the future.
Our Present
Today, Georgia Nut Company is home to a 130,000 square foot food manufacturing facility in Skokie, IL and a 180,000 square foot Packaging and Distribution Center in Niles, IL. With over 500 dedicated Associates combining classic recipes with state-of-the-art equipment, we provide consumers with both everyday confections they love and innovative snacks that continue to drive our industry into the future. With an efficient balance of R&D, manufacturing capabilities, and stringent quality control standards, we are able to guarantee your satisfaction regardless of what products you purchase or manufacturing roles we fulfill for you.
