Description Although University of Greenwich began as the UK's second polytechnic institution, it now offers a broad range of degrees. The institution offers degrees in areas such as business, architecture, education, health care, mathematics, engineering, the humanities, and science. It has close to 25,000 students enrolled in both graduate and undergraduate programs. Established in 1890 as Thames Polytechnic, the university currently operates from three campuses in southeast London and Kent: Avery Hill, Maritime Greenwich, and Medway. It also is affiliated with King Hills Institute, which provides continuing professional development for the community of Kent.
