To give all our customers control of their energy: through the provision of insight and digitisation we provide control over energy and access to markets to optimise energy use and lower costs
To build a long term future for biomass: building on our world class expertise, we believe biomass can deliver carbon negative dispatchable renewable energy
Description Drax is a renewable energy company engaged in renewable power generation, producing sustainable biomass and selling renewable electricity to businesses.
Bioenergy with carbon capture and storage is the process of capturing and permanently storing carbon dioxide (CO2) that is generated during the production of electricity from sustainable biomass. BECCS is the most scalable and affordable carbon removal technology available and can be deployed.
At Drax, we make our pellets from sustainable biomass generated from the harvest and manufacturing of other forest products. Our pellets provide a sustainable, low carbon fuel source that can be safely and efficiently delivered through our global supply chain.
Drax’s North America operations are strategically located in the U.S, providing ready access to large tracts of responsibly managed working forests, modern infrastructure and an available workforce of trained loggers, wood haulers, plant operators and other critical specialties.
Together, we have a bold ambition and purpose and are collectively committed to making a tangible impact on the climate challenge we all face. Our purpose is to enable a zero carbon, lower cost energy future.
We want everyone to feel like a valued member, on a winning team with a worthwhile mission. At Drax, everyone gets the chance to not only shape the future of renewable energy, but to shape their own future and career. Through unlocking the potential of our colleagues, we can shape the future and ensure the delivery of our promise – because together, we make it happen.
