Description Platinum Studios controls an independent library of comic book characters, which it adapts and produces for film and TV projects. The company owns more than 3,800 characters that have appeared in hundreds of millions of comics in 25 languages and more than 50 countries. Platinum Studios is responsible for the Men in Black comic book; it also co-produced the hit movie-version with Sony Pictures. Platinum Studios was founded in 1997 by Malibu Comics creator Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.
