Description S-Oil aims to become the most S-uccessful refiner in South Korea and beyond. The company, established in 1976, is one of its country's leading refiners and a major provider of lubricants and gasoline. S-Oil is capable of producing 580,000 barrels per day at its Onsan refinery, and its product menu includes gasoline, kerosene, diesel, lube base oil, automotive and industrial oils, and petrochemical products such as benzene and toluene. The company broke off from SsangYong Group in 1999 and changed its name to S-Oil a year later. Its joint venture with Saudi Arabia's Aramco -- signed in 1991 -- ensures a steady supply of crude oil.
