Description Impulsora del Desarrollo y el Empleo en América Latina is a mouthful; luckily, the Mexican infrastructure management company is more commonly known as IDEAL. It focuses on funding, managing, servicing, and operating toll roads, water and energy projects, and ports in Latin America, primarily in Mexico. The company also creates public-private partnerships to work on health care and education projects in the region. Among other projects, IDEAL has five toll road concessions in Mexico. Billionaire Carlos Slim, head of Grupo Carso, spun off IDEAL from Grupo Financiero Inbursa in 2005. IDEAL remains part of Grupo Carso.
