At LePort, we help our students acquire the essential knowledge, thinking skills, and strength of character required to flourish as joyous children today, and as successful adults tomorrow.
LePort Schools was founded in 2000 as a small, family-run school, by a parent (Dr. LePort) who fell in love with the Montessori Method for his own children, and was dissatisfied with options that he felt were neither authentic to the Montessori philosophy nor professionally run. From these humble beginnings, LePort has embraced a mission of growth. We dream of bringing high-quality Montessori education to as many children as we possibly can in our lifetimes. From a few schools in Southern California, we have grown to other geographies, such as Northern California (San Francisco / Bay Area) and New York City. As much as we can, we want this vision to snowball and inspire others in the Montessori movement. This is an organization filled with energetic and ambitious people who want to take a brilliant vision, and make it a widespread reality. We have a big goal to serve 25,000 children by the year 2025!
