Established in 1980, RAMP Disability Resources & Services is a nonprofit, non-residential Center for Independent Living (CIL) that serves Boone, DeKalb, Stephenson, and Winnebago counties. RAMP empowers individuals with disabilities through services and advocacy to live an independent life. We accomplish this by partnering with those we serve to make changes in their own lives, seek peer support, and remove barriers.
RAMP has an intimate understanding of the needs and solutions to advance the lives of individuals with disabilities because the majority of our staff and board of directors have a disability. RAMP is a group of caring individuals prepared to arm consumers with the knowledge, insight, and tools they are seeking. An individual who learns to navigate through daily activities in concert with their disability is free to pursue all possibilities of life.
