Samson Oil and Gas has a strong feel for locating producing oil and gas properties in America. The Australia-based company acquires proved developed oil and gas leases, mainly in Wyoming but also in New Mexico, and Texas. It has four oil and gas properties, three of which are producing, and in 2008 reported proved reserves of 16.1 billion cu. ft. of natural gas equivalent. The company holds a working interest in its properties which are exploited by third parties. Samson Oil and Gas also does exploratory and developmental drilling, primarily in Wyoming's Green River Basin.
