It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! 💙🎉 We’re shining a spotlight on one of the hundreds of our incredible swim teachers – the heart of Foss Swim School – who inspire confidence and change lives every day. Their dedication helps children and adults master the life-saving skill of swimming, one lightbulb moment at a time. Meet Jenna! Jenna shared, “My favorite lightbulb moment was with a little girl who refused to put her ears in the water. I spent weeks trying every method I could think of to help her, but nothing was working. One morning, I went to one of the leads and asked if he had any ideas on how to help. He told me to have her cover her ears and then slowly let the water pour in. Simple, but genius! It worked, and for the first time, the little girl put her ears in the water. I was so proud of her, and she was smiling ear to ear! Celebrating 3 Years with Dante! This month, we’re proud to celebrate Dante’s 3-year anniversary at FOSS. Starting as a part-time Swim Teacher, he has grown into a strong leader, making a lasting impact through leadership, development, and a commitment to helping others grow in and out of the water. One standout memory for Dante was helping launch the Colorado district. “Watching a brand-new team come together was incredibly rewarding,” he shared. Seeing teachers grow from nervous beginners to confident instructors sparked his passion for development and coaching. For Dante, the most rewarding moments center on supporting others. “Whether it’s helping a teacher build confidence, coaching someone into leadership, or supporting a school through challenges—knowing I played a small part in their success makes this work meaningful.” FOSS has also shaped his leadership perspective. “Great leadership is about service—listening, supporting others, and creating an environment where people feel safe to grow.” He credits strong teams to trust, communication, and shared purpose. “On a personal level, FOSS has taught me that when you invest in people, everything else follows—performance, culture, and long-term success.” Thank you, Dante, for 3 years of leadership, dedication, and impact!...Show more
