Annie's Annuals was founded in 1990 by Annie Hayes. Annie worked at Berkeley Horticulture Nursery where she developed a love for unusual plants, heirloom plants, and plants that were "lost" to the nursery industry. She had a vision that she could find sources for these plants and sell them to people who longed for the kinds of gardens they remembered from their grandmothers yards.
