KIHOMAC, Inc., a veteran-owned defense contractor with almost two decades of performance in the aerospace industry, answered the call to support local and national needs in the fight against COVID-19. Leveraging expertise in systems engineering and additive manufacturing, KIHOMAC was able to move from initial concept to full-scale production in three weeks, turning a converted aerospace laboratory into a medical production facility that’s now printing nasopharyngeal swabs under the production agreement with Formlabs and producing other critical need items such as face shields and face masks. The new KIHOMED production facility was designed using manufacturing best practices enabling the ability to scale production quickly to meet an increasing demand for these items....Show more
