Description Surrounded by one of the largest oilfields in the country, UTPB is home to more than 7,000 students from all over the U.S. and the world, as well as 250 teaching faculty. It offers 35 undergraduate and 18 graduate programs of study across five colleges and schools: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, College of Engineering and the College of Nursing.
UTPB consistently ranks among the top 5 Texas public universities for students employed or accepted in graduate/professional schools one year after graduation. In 2017, UTPB was ranked second in the Best Four Year Colleges by Schools.com, and was also named one of the top 35 public schools in Regional Universities West according to U.S. News and World Report. Additionally, the University earns rakings for best online bachelor's degree programs and best undergraduate engineering programs.
