1999

Guidance Residential embarks on a 3-year, multimillion-dollar R&D project involving 18 law firms and six of the world's leading Islamic finance scholars to provide an authentic home financing model compliant with both U.S. and Islamic legal systems.

2002

Guidance Residential begins operations in 3 states.

2007

 Guidance Residential surpasses $1 billion in Islamic home financing, proving that the Islamic home finance market is viable and here to stay.

2009

 Guidance Residential receives media recognition from major outlets and is nominated for the Islamic Business and Finance Magazine's "Best Islamic Home Finance Provider" award.

2012

 Marking its 10th anniversary, Guidance Residential becomes the largest corporate sponsor of Muslim-American community initiatives, having committed over $1.5 million.

2013

 The nation's leading provider of Islamic home financing, Guidance Residential remains the only U.S. Islamic home financing company with an independent Shariah Supervisory Board made up of world-renowned scholars who also serve on the board of AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions), a regulatory benchmark for the Islamic Finance industry.

2015

 The Assembly of Muslim jurists of America (AMJA), endorses Guidance Residential and its Declining Balance Co-ownership Program, as a “permissible” path to Muslim-Americans in need of home financing. Guidance Residential operates across 23 states in the U.S. and has financed nearly $3.5 billion in Islamic home financing.

2016

 Operations expand to Kentucky and Delaware. Guidance reaches more than $4 billion in total Shariah-compliant home financing.

2017

 As it celebrates its 15-year anniversary, Guidance is operational in over 30 states with 174 employees nationwide. Guidance reaches more than $4.9 billion in total Shariah-compliant home financing, and opens new offices in Plano, TX, and Sterling, VA. Operations expand to Rhode Island, Alabama, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C.

2018

Now serving seven regions across the country, operations continue expanding to Colorado, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and West Virginia. Guidance is awarded "Best Islamic Home Financier, USA" by World Finance Islamic Finance Awards. 

2019

Guidance Residential surpasses $5.5 billion in funding, having helped over 20,000 families achieve the dream of homeownership without compromising their faith.
