Worlds of Fun features the largest theme park and water park in the Midwest. With more than 235 acres of rides, shows, pools, restaurants, lodging and world-changing fun, Worlds of Fun is proud to be Kansas City's theme park. Founded in 1973 by Lamar Hunt, Worlds of Fun includes a waterpark, Oceans of Fun. The park is open for 8-9 months out of the year with its season beginning in spring and extends through the fall.
