Description All gassed up and ready to go, TC PipeLines was formed by TransCanada PipeLines to manage the company's US assets. TC PipeLines owns 50% of Northern Border Pipeline, which stretches about 1,250 miles from the Montana-Saskatchewan border to the US Midwest. The company also owns Tuscarora Gas Transmission, a 240-mile pipeline that transports gas from Oregon to Nevada. A third investment is its 46% stake in Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership, which owns a 2,115-mile pipeline that moves gas from the Manitoba-Minnesota border to the Ontario-Michigan border. Formed in 1998, the company is managed by general partner TC PipeLines GP, a subsidiary of TransCanada.
