Description When things got hard, U.S. Concrete got harder. The company, which filed for and emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in 2010, produces ready-mixed concrete, precast concrete, and related materials and services for commercial, residential, and infrastructure construction projects. U.S. Concrete has a fleet of about 800 mixer trucks and about 150 ready-mixed concrete, concrete block, and aggregate plants. During 2010, the company produced some 3.8 million cu. yd. of concrete and more than 3 million tons of aggregates; concrete accounts for about 90% of the company's sales. U.S. Concrete concentrates on major markets such as California, New Jersey/New York, and Texas.
