Pros

Working at 10 Acre Ranch has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. The organization is deeply mission-driven, and every team member—clinical, medical, and support staff—is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals in recovery. As Program Director, I’ve had the privilege of helping shape a culture rooted in accountability, empathy, and growth—not just for our clients, but for our team as well. Leadership is approachable and receptive to innovation. There’s a strong emphasis on ethical standards, compliance, and continuous improvement, which provides a sense of structure and integrity in the work we do. I’ve also appreciated the investment in professional development, trauma-informed training, and opportunities to expand culturally competent care models, especially for underserved communities. Our facility is pet-friendly and community-oriented, and we take pride in creating an environment that feels like home for both staff and clients. It’s a fast-paced environment, but you’re surrounded by passionate people who believe in what they do.

Cons

As with any behavioral health setting, the work can be emotionally taxing. However, strong peer support and regular staff check-ins help mitigate burnout. I’d also love to see continued expansion in benefits offerings and wellness resources for staff.

Pros

Staff I worked with were great. Most people that work there truly care and are passionate in providing that care to help people regain their lives. Relatable, family like environment whose staff promoted honesty, growth and recovery. Charlie was a great leader and mentor helping staff and clients bexome better people and tackle challenges in a different manner. Would love to work with them all again. The list goes on

Cons

Very poor upper management. I was hired on as detox nurse due to physical and verbal problems of 2 previous nurses. All info on the altercation was saved i plain site on company computer. Those 2 were let go then both brought back on at one point and let go while i was employed. Lack of clear authority with supervisors and regular employees caused toes to be stepped on and staff not following orders. Changes of how the facility works and runs, cooperating businesses such as the pharmacy and labs all the time. Changes made then changed again before implemented. Clients ran the facility by management allowing unqualified clients to come in even after being denied due to medical reasons by the doctor putting all the clients and staff and facility at risk. Past clients that were kicked out due to lying, bringing in drugs and other issues allowed to return and continue with same behavior and no consequences. All employees to pamper and baby ALL clients as to keep them at facility for payment no matter what the circumstances. Recruiting staff to bring in clients would lie to potentials about how big facility is(not 10 acres, not a working ranch, not a heated year around pool, no garden, cant ride the horses) to being them in. Upper management tried to open more facilities while the main one was lacking clients, staff, fully implements rules and changes. The list goes on

Pros

Staff, work well together very conscientious about client care.

Cons

This facility is a sinking ship. Very unethical behavior, money conscious, treat staff like migrant workers. Recently hired an executive director that doesn't have an academic degree.
